BFA Student Bo Paweena Showcases Creative Diversity

Bo Paweena BFA Class of 2010
Bo has made quite an impact since moving from her native country to San Francisco to attend AAU and expand her knowledge in art. Influenced by her love of fine art, photography, music, interactivity, all kinds of designs and new approaches to old tasks, she decided to study Web Design + New Media at the Academy of Art University, where she can be a full time student of everything. She feels the smallest details can make people think and smile to themselves.
Bo won a slew of awards last month of awards as diverse as what inspires her; and she hasn’t even graduated yet! At the University’s annual Spring Show, she took third place in Web + Interactive Design; second in Audio and Process Journals; and first in Imaging and Illustration.
When asked if she feels the Academy is preparing her well for the professional world, she exclaims: “That’s a very happy and enthusiastic ‘Yes!’ From the set of skills I’ve been developing the past three years at AAU, I feel very positive about the path I’m taking to enter this changing world of art and design.”
So what makes Bo the great, young designer she has grown to become?
“I will never consider myself a great designer because that will pretty much stop me from growing and becoming a better designer. However, if there is one thing, I’ve learned to see the world through an analytical and artistic eye. Always keeping my eyes open for creative strategies and solutions to design challenges greatly influences my perspective on things in life other than art and design.”
Spoken like an eager, accomplished pro. Find out more about Bo on her site.
